It is observed to spread worldwide awareness for the environment and enhances political attention and action and promotes many different ways that people can incorporate to improve and protect environment. <\/p>\n<p>The first World Environment Day was celebrated in 1974 with the &#8216;Only One Earth&#8217; theme. And it is still celebrated with a theme. The theme for World Environment Day 2020 is, &#8216;Time for Nature&#8217; which perfectly suits the modern world. <\/p>\n<p>We all are so busy in improving our lives and earning money that we don&#8217;t have time to look around and do something to improve the devastating condition of the environment. Pollution levels are increasing day by day, the ozone layer is getting depleted, the world is running short on drinking water, and we have been witnessing the extinction of many species. Keep a check on leaking taps in your home and do push yourself to turn off the taps wherever and whenever you see one running for no reason. <br \/>\n\u25cfStop littering! Always use dustbins to throw garbage whether you are in your home or a public place. Inspire your family and friends to do so.<br \/>\n\u25cfReduce the use of plastic! Plastic can take hundreds of years to break down and harmful chemicals into the surrounding soil, which can then seep into groundwater. <br \/>\n\u25cfStart gifting indoor plants to your beloveds on their celebratory moments. Buy indoor plants from the local nursery near you or an <a href=\"https:\/\/www.floweraura.com\/gifts\">online gift shop<\/a>.
