1- Preheat the oven to 180 C and grease an 8-inch cake tin with butter.
2- Break eggs into a bowl and beat until the eggs are light and fluffy.
3- Meanwhile, also mix flour, baking powder and salt and keep aside.
4- Mix vanilla in cold water and keep aside.
5- Once done, add a little sugar at a time and keep whisking.
6- Then add the flour mixture and vanilla and water mixture to the egg and keep beating.
7- Keep adding a little at a time till both the mixtures mix completely.
8- Keep stirring until the batter becomes smooth and there are no lumps.
9- Pour batter into a baking dish and bake for 45 minutes in the middle of the oven until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Carefully take it out of the oven and let the cake cool completely on a wire rack.
