But what if, I let you know the secret to save your every penny and bake a heavenly chocolate cake at your place and relish it over a glass of wine with your dear ones. Sounds like a plan, right?

So, without further ado let’s indulge in a foodie expedition to find out what all is needed to prepare a perfect rich chocolate cake.

Ingredients

¾ cups of all-purpose flour

2 cups of crystalized sugar

¾ cups of cocoa powder

½ teaspoon of baking soda

¾ teaspoon salt

2 large eggs

1 buttermilk

A ½ cup of melted butter

1 tablespoon of vanilla extract

1 cup of hot coffee

Let’s Start Baking!

1.Start by preheating your oven to 350 degrees.

2.Grease your baking pan, sprinkle some flour on it and set it aside.

3.Take another bowl to prepare the cake mixture. Add flour, sugar, cocoa, baking soda and salt. Stir properly.

4.Further, add eggs, buttermilk, melted butter, and vanilla extract and beat it till you get an even consistency batter.

5.Once the batter is ready, pour and continuously stir it in a pan of hot coffee with a rubber spatula. Now, your batter will be somewhat of a fluid-like consistency.

6.Pour the batter evenly in the greased baking pan and set the temperature of the oven to bake for 35 minutes on the middle rack.

7.As fingers or knives would spoil the look of the cake, giving it a cracking or dented effect.  I would rather suggest you insert a toothpick to check the done-ness of the cake.

8.Once you think, it has been baked properly, give the cake some cooling time for like 15 minutes in the pan itself to settle.

9.Run a knife around the edges of the cake and keep it laying upside down on a plate to gently release the cake from the baking pan, as it slowly cools down.

10.When it cools down completely, place it on a plate to serve or to prepare a frosting.

Frosting Makes It Even Better!

To make it more chocolatey, top your chocolate cake with a heavenly chocolate frosting. Here’s how to go by while preparing the chocolate frosting for the cake.

a) ½ cup of melted butter

b) ½ cup of cocoa powder

c) 5 cups of powdered sugar

d) 1 teaspoon of vanilla essence

e) 3-4 tablespoons of milk

2. Stir it along with vanilla and powdered sugar.
