Poem 1

Poem 1

I remember the day when I was six,
With tiny toes and fingers,
You would come crawling towards me,
With so much affection and care,
My sister, I see now you are all grown up.

I remember all our silly fights,
This last pizza slice is mine-
You would say,
I may quarrel with you; I may scold you sometimes,
But know that your bhai will always protect you.

I know you are younger than me,
But, you have shown the meaning of living,
Your smile makes me cheerful,
Your tears break my heart, but,
Ironically, I will tease you forever.

To the greatest blessing of my life,
Happy Raksha Bandhan, sister!

Poem 2

Poem 2

Poem 3

The full moon day
Of Raksha Bandhan,
Brings blissful giggles
On the way.

With every knot of Rakhi thread,
My sister, I swear to protect you
In every step ahead.

I am younger than you,
But know, your Chhota Bheem
-will always be there for you.

I smile, remembering those bittersweet moments,
Though the memories are faded,
Our bond has indeed grown strong,
I promise to be by your side,
-in all the phases- keeping the world aside.
Happy Raksha Bandhan, Behna!
